My mama almost never travels without me, so wherever she goes, I go too. I do love travel too! I love people and I love seeing new places.
My mama and I went to Albay and Camarines Sur – CWC, Caramoan and El Nido all on our own but we went with my Papa to La Union, Bohol and this time, Batanes.
My Papa would carry me and look after me while my Mama took pictures.
But I took pictures too and I also liked looking over the pictures I took, reviewing them right after to see whether I like them or not, whether I should take more pictures of the same scene in a different angle or what.
That can pre-occupy me much for some time.
Though I would also look up from reviewing my photos to look at the view, and compose in my mind.
Sometimes I am permitted to explore the place on my own.
Though this scared the wits out of my lola.
That doesn’t stop my Mama from perching me on the edge of the hill though so she can take photos of me, while I contemplate my own (short) life.
After these photos were taken, my Lola rushed to our side and kind of scolded my Mama. My Lola was afraid I was gonna roll off my perch and down the hill into the depths of trees, shrubs, goats, cows and carabaos – and they wouldn’t be able to run or scramble after me, and I’d break my bones. Uggghhhh, I know, morbid thoughts right?
My Papa took me to the other edge edge edge though after this.
Actually, I was already hungry by then. I have not been fed since we left our room!
So I was exploring the Naidi Hills, Bunker Cafe and its environs with a milk bottle in hand, if not in mouth.
And then you know, my mom was taking photos through this little birdhouse that was actually a lamp post.
You know my Mama is just crazy like that… and so am I!
I would lay down just about anywhere… on the street outside our house, on the sand, and even on the grass.
And my mom would just smile at me, and indulge me… even join me. Someday I’m gonna have her lay down with me on the ground/grass/sand/rock too.
The sun was setting and Tita Maya thought it would be nice to have our photo taken with the lighthouse in the background, thanks Tita Maya!
