This April, the 5th Bagasbas Summer Surf Festival is happening on April 13-15!

We were there during the very first Bagasbas Summer Surf Festival in 2008 and we we’re also there last year. We arrived and left early so I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the activities but this year I hope to have more fun!

The Bagasbas Beach Surf Festival is a combined project of the Department of Tourism and the Camarines Norte Local Government. It is co-sponsored by Power Up Center for Climbing and Fitness and Mojo Sandals. As usual, participants get a free t-shirt as well as Mojo Sandals flip flops.

Three days of fun in the sun with surf clinics and competitions, beach volleyball, beach ultimate frisbee, dodge ball, team wall climbing, side tours and a beach party with Coffeebreak Island.

I am also looking forward to the release of the O’Neill Philippines’ Superkini!

In February, O’Neill Philippines posted that they have just tested the product in Baler and it survived onshore winds, head high closeout sets and intense backwash, barely moving an inch! They claim it is a bikini that sticks to you no matter what.

Bye bye wardrobe malfunctions, hello Superkini! Get ready wahines, they’re coming to ROX stores this summer ☀

To add to that, Diliman Republic has released the 2012 UP Rashguard. A bit pricey for P1,600 compared to Fluid Surf rash guards, it bears the UP pride.

I already have a new short-sleeved rash guard but I need new board shorts. With all these things, I’m looking forward to summer! I wasn’t able to enjoy last year’s summer but I will make sure that this year, I definitely will!
